Syndicate Bank releases loans to farmers

KANNUR: Syndicate Bank has disbursed Rs.4.38 crore as loans to 176 farmers in Kannur, Kasaragod and Wayanad districts and Mahe in Puducherry State.

The loans were sanctioned at the Synd Jay Kisan Mela organised here recently, a release issued by the regional office of the bank here said. Classes organised as part of the function were conducted by C. Thamban of the Central Plantation Crops Research Institute, Kasaragod, and K.N. Satheesan of the Regional Agricultural Research Station, Pilikode.

Syndicate Bank general managers I. Parthasarathi and N. Prasannakumaran handed over to the farmers papers certifying the release of the loans.
