Diwakar Prasad too good for Lalit

    HYDERABAD: Olympian Diwakar Prasad of Railways got the better of international Lalit of Haryana in the feather weight category preliminary round of the 53rd senior National boxing championship for men at the Swarnandhra Pradesh indoor stadium (Gachibowli) here on Wednesday.

    Light-footed movements

    Diwakar unleashed a flurry of straight jabs, which repeatedly caught the opponent off-guard.

    Drawing from his vast experience, the Railway boxer literally dished out an object lesson in the art of scoring points when it mattered most with his light-footed movements and clinched the verdict with the referee stopping the contest in the third round.
