Music of `Sivaji' to arrive soon

Karthik Subramanian

CHENNAI: Get ready to dance to the tunes of `Sivaji'. The much awaited music cassettes and audio CDs of the Rajinikant-starrer, produced by AVM Productions, will hit stores on April 4.

The tempo to the A.R. Rahman-musical has been building over the past few days, albeit a little low-key, because of the World Cup.

The music director is reuniting with the `Superstar' of Tamil cinema and director Shankar after `Baba' and `Boys' respectively.

There has been talk that the trailers of the film would be screened in select theatres initially.

It is also said the the Superstar's fans will receive special redemption coupons to gain easier access to tickets.

But so far, the only confirmed news is that the film was being readied for a Tamil New Year's Day release. And now this bit about the cassette and audio CD release.

The expectations for the film and the music have been humungous.

Shankar, meanwhile, has maintained a stoic silence over the movie.
