State junior inter-district basketball at Kurnool

HYDERABAD: The State junior inter-district basketball championships will be held at Kurnool from April 29 to May 2. The league-cum-knock-out format tournament is open to under-18 boys' and girls'.

The State sub-junior championships for U-13 boys' and girls' will be held at Jagtial, Karimnagar from April 18 to 21 on a league-cum-knock-out format.

This will be followed by a coaching camp at the same venue from April 22 to May 2. Free boarding and lodging will be provided to the players.

Players selected to represent the State will leave Hyderabad on May 3 for their respective National championships.

A committee comprising of three members including P. Bhaskar Reddy, President, Andhra Pradesh Basketball Association, will weed out overaged players and select probables as per the rules laid down by the Basketball Federation of India.
