SSC exam off to smooth start

VISAKHAPATNAM: SSC examinations began in the district on Wednesday peacefully amid tight bandobust.

District Education Officer M.R. Prasanna Kumar said no incident of malpractice was reported from any place.

Squads visited 66 centres. While the State observer Manmadha Reddy inspected five centres, Mr. Prasanna Kumar visited two centres. Examinations began on time in all centres.

Kakinada: Collector M. Subrahmanyam visited some of the tenth class examination centres here on Wednesday and enquired about the facilities provided to students.

He made certain suggestions to invigilators on displaying of identity cards at the Mohan high school and also at the St Anthony's high school.

The Collector said a control room was opened at the DEO office.
