BERHAMPUR: Forest labourers from South Orissa would demonstrate in front of the Assembly on March 23 demanding better wages. Orissa Forest Mazdoor Union has given this call to coincide with the budget session of the Assembly. According to leader of the union D.Mohanty the labourers would also protest against the mass killing at Nadigram and exploitation of forests in the name of industrialisation in the State. But their major demand would be increase of daily wages of the forest labourers to Rs 100. As per Mr Mohanty the labourers involved in works like bamboo cutting work in hazardous condition.
