NEW DELHI: One of Bollywood's most celebrated designers, Vikram Phadnis has derived inspiration from a handy electronic devise to create 52 outfits that will be showcased at the much talked about Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week here this coming Saturday. This exclusive collection has been created in a mixture of silk, wool and fabric of metallic shades. "At the fashion week, I will first showcase a colourful collection of 32 outfits. This will be followed by a collection of 52 dresses that has been inspired by the sleek-looking mobile phone. It is a detailed collection in which I have used colour grading, texture and metallic feel of a mobile phone," says Vikram, who has designed for some of the top-notch Bollywood actors. Vikram says he is critical of his works but this collection was by far the best as he had put all his creativity in the collection. "If you have seen my track-record you will realise that mostly I create dresses that have been inspired by Bollywood. My collections have colour and vibrancy. Of course, there was a risk element when I started this collection but I am confident that the fashion-loving public will like my collection," says Vikram. Vikram says it is not that only creative people from the dream factories of Bollywood wear his outfits. "Everyone from a beauty queen to a girl next door adorns my creations and looks truly captivating," he adds. Vikram has also showcased his clothes at the 10th Sanlam South African Fashion Week 2006 and has won awards in various categories from the Best Designer IIFA Award to the Young Achievers Award by the Maharashtra Government.
