THIRUVANANTHAPURAM : The admission supervisory committee headed by P. A. Mohammed has directed private self-financing engineering and medical colleges in the State not to factor in the marks scored by a candidate in the Class Ten and Plus Two examinations while considering him for admission to professional courses. This directive was issued after a sitting of the committee here on Wednesday. The committee also directed self-financing colleges to carry out admission to all seats only from the rank list prepared by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations. It was also decided not to allow the consortium of managements of self-financing medical colleges to conduct an independent entrance examination using a Bangalore-based agency. The fee regulatory committee will hold its next sitting here on March 27.
