`CPI(M) planning a Nandigram'
Special Correspondent
HYDERABAD:
The Congress Legislature Party (CLP) has expressed the apprehension that the CPI(M) could be planning to create a `Nandigram' during its rally here on Thursday.
Talking to reporters on Wednesday, Government Chief Whip N. Kiran Kumar Reddy and Whips -- S. Udaya Bhanu and D. Sridhar Babu, said the CLP received information that the CPI(M) was planning a `violent' protest by asking its cadres to resort to violence.
They claimed that CPI(M) State secretary B. V. Raghavulu had been asked by his party to divert the attention of the nation by creating a `Nandigram-like' situation in Andhra Pradesh. Intelligence reports suggested that the State unit had asked its militant cadres to infiltrate the rally of the unorganised workers and create a situation that would call for police action.
