Exhibition
CHENNAI:
A two-day exhibition-cum-sale of products made by differently-abled persons is to be organised by Nandini Voice for the Deprived, a city-based non-governmental organisation, at the C. P. Art Centre, Alwarpet, from Saturday.
Around 60 physically challenged persons from across the State will showcase their products.
Ambulance donated
The Rotary Club of Madras Northwest donated an ambulance to Srimath Ramanuja Kainkarya Trust on Sunday for the benefit of Thiruninravur residents and neighbouring villages.
Health risks study
Students of Shankarlal Sundarbai Shasun Jain College for Women, T. Nagar, have conducted a study on the health risks that slum dwellers in Chennai face. Based on the findings, the students have urged the Corporation and voluntary organisations to offer better sanitation facilities in slums to curb spread of diseases. Exnora Founder M.B. Nirmal on Wednesday presented first copy to Vikram Kapur, Managing Director of Tamil Nadu Urban Infrastructure Financial Services Limited.
