ISLAMABAD: Pakistan will showcase its two newly acquired JF-17 Thunder fighter jets at its national day parade on March 23. The Chinese-made JF-17s arrived last week, and President Pervez Musharraf officially welcomed the aircraft to the country on Wednesday at the Pakistan Aeronautical Complex in Kamra, 60 km northeast of the capital. The President said Pakistan had no offensive designs against anyone and the country's weaponry was for selfdefence, which was the right of every nation. ``The country's armed forces have the potential they never had before in the conventional and non-conventional fields," he said. He thanked China for the crucial role it played in the production of the JF-17 fighters, and said the aircraft would add value to the Air Forces of Pakistan and China.
