MANGALORE: The Coastal Fishermen's Action Committee here has expressed unhappiness over the State budget for not outlaying funds for taking up dredging operations in fishing ports. In a press release here on Wednesday, general secretary of the committee Vasudeva Boloor said that 11 fishing ports, including those at Mangalore, Malpe, Tadadi, Honnavar, Bhatkal, Kumta and Karwar, had not undergone dredging for the last 25 years. The committee said it was time that the Government purchased dredger through special extra-budgetary allocation.
