Donates 5 lakhs to set up computer lab

HYDERABAD: State Bank of India on Wednesday donated Rs. 5 lakhs to Association Saikorian, an association of alumni of Sainik School, Korukonda.

This was to enable them to set up a computer lab at project Krushi, a home for street children set up by the association.

The home had a capacity for 25 students at a time.

According to a press release issued by the bank, the equipment comprises 25 personal computers, two printers, 25 chairs/tables and electrical fittings. The lab is meant for training the inmates of the home as well as youth/women of surrounding villages.

R. K. Sharma, Chief General Manager, SBI, handed over the cheque to Commodore M. V. K. Rao, president of the institution.

E. A. Jacob, DGM and CDO, G. K. Rao, secretary, D. V. P. Raju, C. K. Babu, members of the society, B.V.Subba Rao, AGM, were among those present.
