Nazir in full flow

KINGSTON: Opener Imran Nazir smashed 160 off just 121 balls as Pakistan rattled up 349 in 49.5 overs in its World Cup Group `D' match against Zimbabwe at Sabina Park here on Wednesday.

Nazir hit 14 fours and eight sixes in his stroke-filled innings which was ended by an acrobatic catch by Stuart Matsikenyeri off fast bowler Christopher Mpofu. Skipper Inzamam-ul-Haq, playing in his final ODI match, was out for 37.

In tears

He was in tears as he made his way off the Sabina Park pitch. Inzamam was congratulated by all the Zimbabwe players who rushed over to shake his hand while his own teammates gave him a guard of honour on his way back to the pavilion.
