This Day That Age
Mr. Gunnar Jarring, the UN representative who has been deputed by the Security Council to explore the possibilities of finding a solution to the Kashmir dispute, arrived in New Delhi on March 22 from Karachi. He was received at the airport by the Chief of Protocol, officers of the External Affairs Ministry and the Swedish Embassy. Mr. Jarring will be staying at Rashtrapati Bhavan. To pressmen who met him on arrival at the airport, Mr. Jarring said he would follow the same procedure he had prescribed for himself in Pakistan and that was that he should not say anything publicly on the Kashmir issue.
