NEW DELHI: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and Nimbus have amicably resolved the issue relating to losses arising out of the broadcaster sharing of the cricket telecast of matches held in India with Prasar Bharti. The Board and Nimbus will share the losses that the broadcaster has claimed will arise from the signals being downloaded illegally in neighbouring countries. During the recent home series against the West Indies and Sri Lanka, Nimbus had shared the signal with Prasar Bharti and complained of loss of revenue. "We have resolved the issue and there is no cloud on the contract with Nimbus. Our auditors will find a way out to share the losses with Nimbus," BCCI Vice-President, Rajiv Shukla, said.
Venues
The BCCI, at its Working Committee meeting here on Thursday, also identified the venues for the international matches in the forthcoming season. The venue for the one-day matches against Australia (seven) and Pakistan (five matches) would be Kanpur, Mumbai, Gwalior, Guwahati, Bangalore, Mohali, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kochi, Jamshedpur, Faridabad, Jaipur, Nagpur and Baroda. The venues for the Test matches would be Bangalore, Delhi and Kolkata against Pakistan and Kanpur/ Chennai, Ahmedabad and Nagpur against South Africa. The Board has also agreed to play three one-day internationals in June in Ireland and one in Glasgow. The opposition would be from South Africa, Australia and Sri Lanka. "We are in the process of deciding the team we would play against," said Mr. Shukla.
