KURNOOL: A. Rama Rao, Vice-Chancellor of SK University, supported the idea of elevation of PG centre here to an exclusive university. Addressing the college day celebrations at PG centre here on Thursday, he said all sections of the society including the PG centre staff should take up the matter with the Government. Dr. Rao said the executive council of the university would take up the university status issue at its next meeting. He said the university had ratified the demand of autonomy for the centre but the issue of separate university would also be supported. He promised Internet facility at the PG centre. DIG of police K.R.M. Kishore Kumar and others were present.
