Man murdered

Staff Reporter

GUNTUR: A businessman, V. Venkateswara Reddy, was allegedly stabbed to death by his rivals late on Wednesday night at Gorantla village on city outskirts. Police suspect the role of a business partner of Venkateswara Reddy in the murder.

According to Guntur rural SI U. Ravichandra, Reddy was allegedly killed by his rivals, as he was unable to repay a loan, which he had taken. When the house on which the loan was raised, got auctioned on Wednesday, the owner of the house had a tiff with Venkateswara Reddy asking him to refund the money so that he could get the house back.
