Kozhikode: Mayor M. Bhaskaran inaugurated Colloid '07, a technical workshop, organised by the Department of Chemical Engineering of the Kozhikode Government Engineering College at West Hill on Thursday. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Bhaskaran said technical workshops such as the one hosted by the engineering college were helping the general public to get awareness on solid waste management. College Principal Z.A. Zoya presided. N.N. Maharana, Chief General Manager of Indian Rare Earth Limited; T. Gopinath, external faculty, Petroleum Consultation Association; and G. Ganesh, Deputy Chief Superintendent, FACT, among others spoke on the occasion.
