Qureshi new secretary of Urdu Akademi

JAIPUR: The Rajasthan Government on Thursday appointed Mohammed Saeed Qureshi as the new secretary of the State Urdu Akademi and nominated 16 members to the General Council of the Akademi.

These posts were lying vacant for quite some time.

Mr. Qureshi and the General Council members have been appointed for a period of three years.

According to the official orders issued here, the State Education Commissioner; Finance Commissioner; Director, Primary and Secondary Education, Bikaner; Director, College Education, Jaipur, or their representatives; and the Director, Arabic and Persian Research Institute, Tonk, will be the new members of Urdu Akademi's General Council.
