CHANDIGARH: The Working President of the Haryana unit of the Congress, Ram Prakash, was on Thursday elected unopposed to the Rajya Sabha. Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda and Transport Minister Randeep Singh Surjewala congratulated Dr.Ram Prakash after the Haryana Vidhan Sabha Secretary and Returning Officer Sumit Kumar handed over the Certificate of Election. Mr.Hooda thanked Congress president Sonia Gandhi for nominating Dr.Ram Prakash as the party's candidate for the by-poll, necessitated by the death of INLD Rajya Sabha MP Sumitra Mahajan.
