MPs against caste discrimination at AIIMS

NEW DELHI:
A group of six MPs under the banner of "Parliamentarians Against Caste Discrimination'' on Wednesday met students, residents and faculty of All-India Institute of Medical Sciences here to "understand and talk about the problems of those allegedly facing caste based discrimination at the Institute''.
They included Rajya Sabha members E.M. Sudarshan Natchiappan, Manguni Lal Mandal and Praveen Rashtrapal and Lok Sabha member A. R. Shaheen. The group was led by Gandhian Nirmala Deshpande and it held interaction inside the Institute campus in the afternoon.
The group has also submitted a letter to the Prime Minister.
