BJP seeks formation of special task force

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: BJP State president P.K. Krishnadas demanded here on Thursday that the Government should form a special task force to suppress forces trying to unleash terrorist attacks in the State. He said the attack on the police station at Kottackal was similar to a terrorist attack. The Government should take the warnings of the Army authorities and the remark of Union Minister for Defence A.K. Antony seriously. Mr. Krishnadas said the BJP's warnings about the NDF piling up arms had fallen on deaf ears. Special Correspondent

Youth dead

Thiruvananthapuram: A 21-year-old youth was killed when a sand-laden tipper lorry collided with another lorry near Kumarapuram on early Thursday. Reji, son of Divakaran Nadar, of Palode, who was in the tipper lorry, was killed on the spot.
