HYDERABAD: `Jadugar' Anand will be performing in the city with his `Mayalok' team from April 5.

The two-week show to be performed at Hari Hara Kala Bhavan with a 120-member troupe will have several new features and items. Speaking to mediapersons on Thursday, Mr. Anand who holds the title of `world's fastest magician', said, "We have new and interesting items like `magical appearance of an elephant', `disappearance of `Statue of Liberty' in slow motion and a character coming out of a running film to perform tricks and going back to the film again."

Performing for the last 35 years with 27,000 shows in more than 36 countries , Mr. Anand would present two breathtaking events prior to his magic show — `The Great Fire Escape' on March 25 at the NTR Stadium and `Blindfold motorcycle ride' — on April 2.

`The Great Fire Escape' would be performed by Anand's son Akash. Locked up in chains and handcuffs and thrown into a huge blazing inferno, Akash would demonstrate escaping from fire after freeing himself. The blindfold motorcycle ride is to create traffic awareness and highlight growing number of fatal accidents.
