HYDERABAD: The first Hyderabad International Film Festival got off to a start with the premiere of Goutam Ghose's `Yatra' with Nana Patekar, Deepti Naval and Rekha in the lead and shot in the backdrop of Hyderabad and Andhra Pradesh. Earlier, Information Minister Mohd. He complimented Hyderabad Film Club and Andhra Pradesh Film Directors Association for crystallising the idea of having an international festival. Responding to requests from the organisers, B. S. Prakash Reddy, president, Hyderabad Film Club and producer Tammareddy Bharadwaja, the Minister said he would forward the proposals to the Government and promised cooperation. Films reflected culture and it was imperative that the medium was used, he said.
