TB awareness campaign

CHENNAI : To mark World Tuberculosis Day (March 24), Resource Group for Education and Advocacy for Community Health (REACH) will organise a programme for patients, community volunteers, and the public to reinforce the concepts of TB control and to initiate a sustained awareness campaign.

A short ad film, starring actor Suriya, produced by REACH, will be launched on March 24 at the Russian Cultural Centre in the presence of Suriya, health secretary V.K. Subburaj and other officials. On the same day, the Chest Foundation of India (CFI) will organise a poster exhibition in Tamil and English at the Koyambedu Bus Terminus between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. to create awareness about TB.
