Happy with progress, Kiwis looking ahead

GROS ISLET: New Zealand heads to Antigua for Super Eights confident and satisfied with the sweep of its group at the World Cup.

Everything is not perfect however, with injuries to three players and work required on limiting the number of extras. But captain Stephen Fleming believes the break before its first Super Eights game against West Indies next Thursday should resolve those issues.

"Everyone has contributed," Fleming said on Thursday. "There's no area really where we've been found out or there's no area that hasn't been ticked off. That's why we move away from here pretty comfortable, but also confident."

One area that New Zealand will concentrate on is extras. It bowled nine no balls against Canada, and one was costly.

Michael Mason removed John Davison with a no ball and Davison exploited that mistake. — AP
