BANGALORE: The Karnataka Government is expected to come up with further changes to the farm loan waiver scheme wherein all farm loans irrespective of the quantum of the loan would be eligible for a maximum waiver of Rs. 25,000 apart from an interest waiver for a specified principal amount. Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy and Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister B.S. Yediyurappa are scheduled to meet shortly and sort out the demand made by the legislators of their two parties. Sources told The Hindu that the Chief Minister himself was keen on extending the benefit to all farmers.
