Table Tennis
KOCHI: The 30th all-India Major Ports table tennis tournament will be held at the Cochin Port Trust indoor hall, Willingdon Island, from March 29 to 31. Eight teams, including defending champion Kolkata, runner-up Mumbai, Paradip, Chennai and Cochin, will figure in the four-day event. Competitions for men and veteran men will be held. N. Ramachandran, Chairman, Cochin Port Trust, will inaugurate the tournament.
Coaching camps
The Sri Mulam Club, Thiruvananthapuram will conduct a coaching camp for boys & girls (eight years and above) from April 1. Those interested may register their names at the SMC office (2722980, 2723008, 3262635) or contact M.L. Unnikrishnan, joint secretary, SMC (9447340261), according to a press release.
Summer camp
The Thiruvananthapuram district basketball association will conduct its annual summer coaching camp at the Central Stadium from April 2 to May 20. Coaching will be given from 10 a.m. to noon and from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Those interested can register their names at the basketball court from 4.30 p.m. to 6.30 p.m. Contact Bevin Chacko, secretary, at 2545326, 9447145726.
