One seat each for CPI, PMK

NEW DELHI: The Congress on Friday said the party had decided to leave one seat each for the Communist Party of India and the Pattali Makkal Katchi in the nominated category to the Puducherry Assembly.

Party general secretary B.K. Hari Prasad told The Hindu that the party president Sonia Gandhi had taken a decision to leave a seat each to its allies. The third seat would be taken by the Congress, he said, adding a decision to this effect had been communicated to the State unit.
