PATHANAMTHITTA: The annual `Garudan Thookkom' vazhipadu as part of the Meena Bharani festival at Orippurathu Bhagavathy Temple at Thatta near Adoor was held on Friday.
Heavy rush
Hundreds of devotees from different parts of Central Travancore thronged the temple to witness the ritual. As many as 150 `vazhipadu thookkoms' were held on Friday, temple authorities said. The `Kettukazhcha' display continued for the second day on Friday. The annual Thiruvathira festival will be held at the temple on March 26.
