New member of AMU Court

NEW DELHI: Former Rajya Sabha member Wasim Ahmad has been nominated member of the University Court of Aligarh Muslim University for a period of three years with immediate effect. The decision came in the wake of resignation of A. R. Momin from the membership of the University Court. Under the provisions of the Statutes of the University, Prof. Momin was nominated by the AMU Chancellor with effect from June 1, 2005. This is the fifth time that Mr. Ahmad has become the member of the University Court .
