MANGALORE: The Sunni sect of Muslims will hold a convention at Deralakatte on Sunday. It has been organised to promote communal harmony, according to convener of the meet Hameed Kandak. He told presspersons here that some "groups" were trying to disturb the communal harmony in the district by misleading the youth against the principles of Sunni movement. Mr. Kandak said that Tazul Ulema Assayyad Abbrahaman Al Bukhari of Ullal would attend the meet. President of Yenepoya Medical College Y. Abdullah Kunhi, president of the Islamic Cultural Centre Mumtaz Ali and president of the Kanachur Education Trust U.K. Monu would participate, Mr. Kandak said.
