BSNL pre-paid subscribers find recharging tough

CHENNAI
: Several subscribers of BSNL's pre-paid mobile service have not been able to recharge their accounts for the last three days.
They have not been able to top up their accounts and fear if they do not do so soon they might outlast the one-week grace period and lose their connections. Representatives at BSNL offices in the city have reportedly assured them the problem would be sorted out within two days. There has not been any official communication from the service provider on the issue though.
Meanwhile, BSNL Chennai Telephones announced the introduction of a single window system, providing almost the entire range of customer services and facilities, at all its Level-I and Level-II customer service centres.
Under the system, subscribers could book new telephone/mobile/broadband connection, apply for shift and change of the plan, and place a service request. The service is open for BSNL landline, mobile and broadband subscribers.
For details call 1500 or visit www.chennai.bsnl.co.in and click on customer care link. A press release from Chennai Telephones urged the subscribers to pay their current (of March) landline and WLL bills before March 27 in view of the annual closure of accounts.
