Woman SI suspended

HYDERABAD: Cyberabad Police Commissioner S. Prabhakar Reddy has suspended Vanasthalipuram police station Sub-Inspector B. Dhana Laxmi on the charge of not registering a case despite receiving complaint.

Some locals of Turkayamzal approached the SI on February 15 alleging that a farmer Krishna Reddy had abused them in the name of their caste.

The SI reportedly did not register the case even two days after receiving the complaint. Mr. Reddy happened to meet villagers during his inspection of the police station on February 18. He suspended her after conducting an inquiry.
