Water board: no cut in supply

HYDERABAD: The HMSSB has said that there is no unofficial cut on supplies. The board was supplying 243 million gallons per day to the twin cities and surrounding municipalities, including bulk supplies to the Cantonment, the Railways, MES and industries. In a statement here on Friday, a board spokesperson said owing to depletion of water level in the Himayatsagar, the drawal was reduced to 2 MGD. "As per the population and number of connections, water is being supplied to various Operation and Maintenance divisions of the board for uniform and equitable supplies," he said.
