Penalty for ticketless travel

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A sum of Rs.1,53,663 was collected as fare and penalty from travellers during the ticket checking drive carried out by railways. Senior Divisional Commercial Manager S. Manoj led the drive in which 39 ticket checking staff and 14 Railway Protection Force personnel participated. According to the railways, 575 cases of ticketless/irreglar travellers and unbooked luggage were detected in the drive held on March 13.

ATMs opened

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Canara Bank's ATMs at SUT Hospital, Pattom and at Trivikaramangalam was inaugurated by General Manager P. Mohanan on Wednesday. The ATM's were among the 125 launched in the country.
