JAIPUR: The Rajasthan Government has submitted two projects to the Centre for development and beautification of Nakki lake in the State's only hill resort, Mount Abu, and Pushkar lake near Ajmer at a cost of Rs. 96 crore under the National Lake Conservation Scheme. The renovation work at Pushkar lake will be completed in three phases involving an expenditure of Rs. 87 crore, while Rs. 9 crore is proposed to be spent on the development of the Nakki lake.
Senior officials of the State Government, who had an extensive discussion with the Union Minister of State for Forests, Namonarain Meena, on these projects in New Delhi recently, were told that five lakes of the desert State had
