JAIPUR: The Rajasthan Government has submitted two projects to the Centre for development and beautification of Nakki lake in the State's only hill resort, Mount Abu, and Pushkar lake near Ajmer at a cost of Rs. 96 crore under the National Lake Conservation Scheme. The renovation work at Pushkar lake will be completed in three phases involving an expenditure of Rs. 87 crore, while Rs. 9 crore is proposed to be spent on the development of Nakki lake. The projects have been submitted to the Union Forest and Environment Ministry. Senior officials of the State Government were told that five lakes of the desert State had been included in the National Lake Conservation Scheme. In addition to Nakki and Pushkar, the three other lakes are Pichchola and Fateh Sagar in Udaipur and Ana Sagar in Ajmer.
