`Influx' enters Rajasthan

JAIPUR: The Pune-based supermarket chain "Influx" made a formal entry into Rajasthan on Saturday by announcing its 26th mart in Raja Park here. The group, which is the latest to enter the State after Reliance and Piramyd with its retail outlets, has plans to set up one mart in each of the 32 districts of Rajasthan.

Head of the Influx Group Shivaji Chamkire said the two-year-old chain would open 200 marts in various parts of the country by the end of the current year. The group has its presence now in Maharashtra, Gujarat, and Karnataka.

The group had launched its marts in Surat, Tarapur, Pune, Hubli and Amravati recently. The next mart in Rajasthan is proposed in Kota.

Influx Marts, which offers 5000 products at its super markets, offers discounts on each item, claimed Mr. Chamkire. "Our marts are designed for the new age customers," he said.
