NEW DELHI: A special court in the NDPL area at Rohini has convicted two persons on charges of power theft and sentenced them to jail. One of the accused, 75-year-old Balraj, a resident of Rameshwar Nagar, has been convicted for direct theft of electricity and has been sentenced to jail for 15 days. The court took a lenient view on account of his age and awarded a lighter sentence. A civil liability of Rs 40,000 has also been determined in favour of NDPL by the court in this case.
