Two killed in accidents

TAMBARAM: A 22-year-old youth died on the spot when the motorcycle he was riding dashed against an electric post in Pallavaram on Thursday evening. Traffic police said S. Senthil of Zamin Pallavaram was riding, with his friend, Raja of the same area, seated on the pillion.

In Sembakkam on Velachery Main Road, E. Kanagaraj (19) died after sustaining head injuries while attempting to board a moving bus. A native of Ulunderpettai, Kanagaraj was working as a construction labourer.

Injured

On Friday, a 24-year-old person was injured when a iron beam fell on him near the Chennai airport, where the National Highways Authority of India is building a flyover. Sujit Shankar, working in a BPO at Velachery, was travelling on a motorcycle when it happened. Fortunately, he was wearing a helmet.
