HYDERABAD:
A 28-year-old cable technician Raju died of cardiac arrest reportedly while watching the World Cup cricket match between Sri Lanka and India on television in his house at Champapet in the early hours of Saturday. According to his neighbours, the humiliating defeat of India in the match probably upset him and resulted in his death.
His wife Kavita said she watched the match along with her husband for some time, but slept after midnight. She woke up around 5 a.m. and saw her husband in an unconscious state. With the help of neighbours, she shifted him to a hospital where the doctors pronounced him dead.
