Seminar on Classical Tamil

COIMBATORE: The Department of Linguistics of Bharathiar University will organise a national seminar on "Historical Grammar of Tamil" in collaboration with the Central Institute of Indian Languages, Mysore, on March 27 and 28.

A university release said the structure and usage of Tamil had undergone remarkable changes since its inception two thousand years ago. The aim of the seminar was to bring to light these aspects. More than 50 Tamil and Linguistic scholars from various parts of India would present research papers.
