Traffic diversions for Panguni festival in Mylapore

CHENNAI : Traffic diversions will be in place on the important festival days of March 26, 28, 30, 31 and April 1 for the annual Panguni festival at Kapaleeswarar Temple in Mylapore.

On March 30 and 31 vehicles will not be allowed through the three Mada Streets and RK Mutt Road and also in the following directions: From Luz Round Tana towards RK Mutt Road, Kutchery Road to Mathala Narayanan Street, Dr. Ranga Road to Venkatesa Agraharam Road, St. Mary's Road to RK Mutt Road, Chitrakulam East Street to Chitrakulam North Street and from Mandaveli Salai to Adam Street. However, vehicles on emergency duties such as postal, telephone, ambulance, electricity and VIP vehicles are exempted from the above diversions.

MTC buses going towards Adyar on Royapettah High Road will be diverted via Luz Church Road, D' Silva Road, Warren Road, Sringeri Mutt Road, St. Mary's Road and Mandaveli.

In the return direction, they would ply via Mandaveli Bus Terminus, Jeth Nagar First Main Road, St. Mary's Road, Sringeri Mutt Road, Warren Road, Dr. Ranga Road, East Abhiramapuram Road, Luz Avenue and Luz Church Road.

Parking can be done at P.S. Higher Secondary School playground, near Kamadhenu theatre on Luz Church Road and near Mylapore railway station.
