HYDERABAD: It was a happy reunion for three families after their kidnapped children -- Mohammed Ateef, Yesu Babu and Nagendra -- were traced in Maharashtra and handed over to them here on Sunday. The boys' parents clung them and were overwhelmed with joy at the outcome. "I still cannot believe it. It's like a dream specially after the nightmare for the last few weeks," 22-month-old Ateef's mother Sameema Begum said. Her son was kidnapped from Banjara Hills on February 27. Another child D. Yesu Babu initially could not identify his mother Mary because of the trauma he had faced for staying away from his parents. The child later recognised her when she fed him milk. "Thank God. I got my son back," a jubilant Mary said with her eyes turning moist. But, Padma is still worried about the fate of her son Karthik, who was abducted on Wednesday from Sanathnagar. The police, however, said one child who is believed to be Karthik is being brought to the city from Jagtial in Karimnagar district. Yesu Babu and Ateef were rescued from residences of two couples -- K. Shankariah and Vijayalaxmi, and P. Venkatesam and Pushpa -- at Bhiwandi in Thane of Maharashtra. Nagendra, a resident of Filmnagar was rescued from the house of D. Kistaiah and Bhoomama in Jangapally village of Medak district.
