SRM All-India meet

Chennai: There is something to cheer for the volleyball enthusiasts when SRM University plays host to an all-India invitation tournament at Kattankalathur from March 28 to April 1. This is a maiden venture in this discipline by SRM University.

Detailing the features of the tournament, P. Satyanarayanan, Vice-Chancellor, SRM University, said that eight of the 15 teams invited for the event had responded to take part in the five-day prize money tournament. Six among the eight outfits that finished ranking between one and six in the recent National Volleyball League held in Kochi will be in action here.

Pools A: BPCL (Kochi), IOB (Chennai), Indian Navy and SDAT (Chennai); Pool B: HSIDC (Haryana), Southern Railway, Cochin Port Trust and Indian Bank (Chennai).
