VISAKHAPATNAM : The Eastern Naval Command held a mass run from VUDA Park to Naval Coast Battery on Tuesday. Nearly 2,000 participants from Navy, Army, NCC, Sea Cadet Corps, VPT, VSP, SBI and other organisations participated in the 3.5 km. run. The run marks 200 days countdown to the fourth Military World Games, which will be held on October 7 at Hyderabad and Mumbai. Prizes were awarded in nine categories to the winners in a grand function held at Naval Coast Battery by Flag Officer Commanding-in-chief ENC, Vice Admiral Arun Kumar Singh. Senior Flag officers, noted cricket player Mr. Venugopal and world record holder for mountaineering Mastan Babu participated in the event. Chairman of VUDA, P.S.N. Raju, flagged off the programme.
