Policemen's plea rejected

BANGALORE: Justice Mohan Shantangouder has rejected a criminal petition by Sub-Inspector Zahoor Ali Baig, head constables Malle Gowda and Bala Nayak, all of Kadugodi police station, seeking to quash lower court proceedings against them. The X Additional City Metropolitan Magistrate, Mayo Hall, Bangalore, had initiated criminal proceedings against the police officials following a complaint lodged against them by the Registrar (Vigilance), High Court. Justice Mohan Shantangouder held that there was no bar on the court lodging a complaint and dismissed their petitions.
