Puducherry
Special Correspondent
Puducherry: All the three legislators of the Puducherry Munnetra Congress (PMC) were evicted from the Assembly on Tuesday when they got into the well of the House and started raising certain demands even as Lt. Governor Mukut Mithi was going ahead with his address on the opening day of the budget session. As soon as the session began, leader of the PMC K. Lakshminarayanan and his colleague N. Anandhu, MLA, rose to raise certain demands. Another member of the party V.K. Ganapathy then rushed into the well of the House. The watch and ward staff of the Assembly evicted them on a directive from the Speaker, R. Radhakrishnan. Mr. Lakshminarayanan later told newsmen that the PMC wanted the Lt. Governor to give an assurance that the Government would drop all its plans to construct a deep-sea port and the satellite township.
